One of the subjects that intrigued me a lot during high school: English literature and a writer/poet that always impressed me, Shakespeare. I was going through his sonnets last night and Sonnet 3 caught my attention.
You could find the sonnet online but the last line that really important to understand:
'Die single, and thine image dies with thee.'
The whole sonnet spoke about urging young man to get married and 'make' children. The first time I read his sonnets, it was quite perplexing since there were quite a few sonnets that touched bout the same issue but in different way and a bit more subtle.
Turned out, there are 17 of his sonnets termed as procreation sonnet that sort of bring about this issue. I don't understand what his motive in writing about this 'thing' but it did managed to make me thinking.
Been a gay, we are not going to have child of our own. So how we gonna pass on our gene? That is the basic rule that we learnt in evolution. It's not 'the strongest prevail' but it is who that can pass on his gene to the next generation. There is option of surrogate mother, IVF but it will cost a fortune, the money that is not around for a long time to come.
Now is the time when I really give serious consideration about the idea in previous post regarding same-sex fertilization xD
It be fun to continue that research =P hahahahha
Love,
