There's literally no one. Even that auntie just browsing through the menu. U can simply get a table without any need to wait at all. From the reviews from other food blogs, they gave higher rating to pasta zanmai as compared to sushi zanmai. According to them, hokkaido ichiba that is on the same floor with sushi zanmai is much better place to go.
So, why there are still more people going to sushi zanmai? I have no idea ^^

Because of the location. Do you realise pasta zanmai is at hidden corner while sushi zanmai is visibly just next to the Borders? And people are attracted to the name 'sushi' while 'pasta' sounds more Italian so they thought it's Western. And as you said, not many people like fusion food.

DeleteDefinitely cuz zanmai is cheaper. We're willing to sacrifice quality for a more affordable tag. I found a really nice Jap place at Damansara Uptown; row of shop-lots facing LDP, called Hokano. A bit pricier than zanmai, but omg yummies! ^^

DeleteI'm not a fan of sushi really. But I've tried Pasta Zanmai and it's okay. Nothing to go crazy about really. Atleast for me. And yes, there's always a ridiculously long queue there.
