At first, was thinking to postpone the plan for dinner here since I hate to go out on friday but after 6 hours stuck inside the house with nothing to do, I decided to try my luck with KTM and went out when ppl were coming back from work. I went to Pasta Zanmai @ MidValley since this one on my KTM line.
This shop served some sort of fusion food between western and japanese. Instead of the normal wheat noodle and soup, they used spaghetti and tortilla for the sushi wrap instead of seaweed. Since I came here alone, couldn't really tried different dish >_<
I ordered one mini pasta set menu. It usually come with two different dish, combination of pasta, sushi, rice or pizza. The first dish was one seafood noodle dish. The pasta was cooked al-dente before the broth was poured in. The soup was not too thick but savory enough to give some taste to the tasteless pasta. U will get two strips, one is prawn and the other is squid if I'm not mistaken.
The second dish was tortilla-wrap sushi. It consisted of some vege, a bit of crab meat and salmon roe topped with spicy mayonnaise. The tortilla is crunchy and the filling is sufficient, not too much, not too little. It's really quite a nice food if u want to try something new than the normal sushi.
Overall, I would say they did a great job in trying to fuse two different cuisine without spoiling the taste. Me been not a big fan of fusion-type food, I would say they managed to please my taste bud and the price is just nice, around RM30 for a set dish including a pot of green tea. Will I come back? Definitely =)
Love,
me
p/s: since my stupid phone decide to play prank on me, none of the pics I took while dine there was saved. So, need to take it from this website. This place was recommended to me by Calvin ^_^
