Let my heart picks this time

There's a cliche' that I'm pretty sure almost everyone had heard it at some point of ur life. It is 'u dont get what u want, u get what u need' or something in that line.

I won't go rambling today about what it means but rather the connection with finding ur significant other.

In relationship, u don't get who u want most of the time but rather u will get who u need.

We want someone cute, hot, good-looking, buffy, muscular, lean, gorgeous but what we really need is one who is kind, caring, attentive, tolerate our whim, nurse us when we sick, accept us for who we are and ready to give everything for our sake.

Sometimes, the one that we need is already in front of us but we don't realize it since we are too busy chasing over the shadow of someone who is not even there.

Yes, he won't be as handsome as the one we are dreaming of but an adequate real person is better than some imaginary boyfriend that we can't even hold.

I admit, I am guilty of such thing as well....of been vain and superficial, of hunting for external beauty that will perish over time rather than the permanent inner beauty.

Maybe it's time.

Time to close my eye and let the heart seeks.
