bad carb

"Had u eat rice today?" One question that I had been asked every single day

Rice has become a staple food for most Asian that u can't separate it from them even for a single meal. We eat rice for breakfast, lunch, dinner and sometimes even supper. It will be served at every occasion and event no matter how ridiculous it may seem sometimes.

I used to gorge myself with such meal at every chance in a huge quantity. I don't mind eating it with just soy sauce and boiled egg xD

Now, no more.

If u guys still remember the old food pyramid that we are taught in primary school, it categorized food such as rice, noodle, bread as the second most food that we need to consume. Such a blasphemy.

As far i can recall my memory from my nutrition class, my lecturer taught that the pyramid is obsolete due to the fact carbohydrate is not something that we can eat a lot every day.

plus, we need to understand that time changes. We are not like our great-great grandfather that worked at farm or mine thus, justifying the need for huge amount of carb. Rather, we work in a small cubicle from 8-6 with little moving except to pantry or lunch break.

buuuuutttttttttttt.......

my family really cant accept the fact that I cut down my rice consumption to just once a week.

the peril, urrggghhhhhhh =.=

Laugh, it will brighten your day =D

Love,
me

  1. oh the fear. as long as you work out to burn them all I think its fine. If not, then just cut them all, drown yourself with good protein from the sea!

    5. i used to be herbivore 3 years ago..now back to omnivore again =P

increase ur protein consumption and reduce ur carbohydrate since the body burn protein first to produce energy, fat and finally only carb..so if u eat carb more, u might end up convert and store it as fat rather than burn it
