Cheers for us who survived the 'onslaught' of the first day of GST LOL

As expected, countless photo of receipt uploaded to highlight the beginning of something new and foreign in Malaysia. Is it good? Is it bad? Is it necessary? I don't know and I don't really care. Like others said, it's only 6%. It isn't nothing much.

I don't have issue with the idea behind it because it's something that is implemented elsewhere around the world; the only problem I have is the implementation of it by the government. Right up to the last minute, they can't decide what to and not to tax. It's supposed to replace SST but apparently people are still charging 10% service tax and many more.

So yeah, I know it's only 6% but it will add up and become huge in the long run. Not everyone earns hundreds of thousand monthly. Most Malaysian are middle-class or lower than that who earns less than 5K monthly.

Wishing for a better future but for now, let's stay firm on the ground.
