When we lose our parent or someone significant for us, we will start to drift. We no longer have them to cushion the impact when life takes a fall towards the worst. There's no more outstretched hand ready for us to grab, saving us from the free fall and that will plunge us down to depravity.
That, or we ourselves choose to lock them out of our lives. The society has taught us to keep our emotion in check and never revel anything much. Crying is a sign of weakness and we have been molded to act tough/masculine. We barricaded our heart because to leave it bare open for others to access it will leave us vulnerable.
Don't do that, please. Have some trust on others. They care for you and your well-being. Open up and share your deepest emotion. It will always help to lighten up your burden and helps you to be free.
Don't be afraid to be human.
